Role
The Assistant Vice President – Central Process & Governance Lead will lead the establishment and governance of the Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE), driving standardized QA processes, governance frameworks, quality metrics, automation strategies, and continuous improvement across enterprise technology initiatives. This role ensures compliance with organizational standards, enhances testing maturity, and promotes best practices to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Role
The Assistant Vice President – Central Process & Governance Lead will lead the establishment and governance of the Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE), driving standardized QA processes, governance frameworks, quality metrics, automation strategies, and continuous improvement across enterprise technology initiatives. This role ensures compliance with organizational standards, enhances testing maturity, and promotes best practices to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define, standardize, and continuously improve QA processes, frameworks, and best practices.
- Establish and enforce QA governance, policies, and compliance across projects.
- Define, monitor, and report QA KPIs, dashboards, and quality metrics.
- Drive automation, AI-enabled testing, and process optimization initiatives.
- Conduct QA audits, maturity assessments, and risk analysis.
- Manage defect governance, root cause analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent QA practices.
- Develop QA documentation, SOPs, templates, and knowledge repositories.
- Mentor QA teams and lead training, coaching, and change management initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement QA tools to improve governance, reporting, and testing efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of QA experience, including leadership roles within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong expertise in QA governance, Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE), SDLC/STLC, and enterprise testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Power BI, Grafana, and API testing.
- Strong understanding of test automation, defect management, QA metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, process improvement, risk management, and team leadership.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
