Role
10Pearls is seeking an experienced Test Architect to lead the quality engineering strategy for a large-scale enterprise implementation of a SaaS platform supporting transaction analysis and exception identification within the audit process.
This engagement spans multiple enterprise applications and cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Validis, Blades, MindBridge, and the Audit Process Tool. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing the overall testing architecture, establishing governance frameworks, defining enterprise-wide testing strategies, and ensuring quality across complex system integrations.
As the Test Architect, you will provide technical leadership across System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), End-to-End Testing, and enterprise integration testing while collaborating with engineering teams, business stakeholders, suppliers, and solution architects. Although this is primarily an architecture and leadership role, the ideal candidate should be capable of providing hands-on guidance in manual and automation testing when required.

Responsibilities
  • Define and own the enterprise testing strategy across multiple integrated products and platforms.
  • Design the overall quality engineering architecture for complex cloud-based enterprise solutions.
  • Establish testing governance, quality standards, best practices, and delivery frameworks across the programme.
  • Define SIT, UAT, End-to-End, Regression, and Integration Testing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Architect the testing approach for highly integrated enterprise platforms spanning Azure, Databricks, Validis, Blades, MindBridge, and downstream systems.
  • Design test environments, data strategies, test automation approaches, and defect management processes.
  • Define quality gates, product readiness criteria, and release governance for supplier deliverables entering UAT.
  • Lead enterprise-wide integration planning across multiple products, vendors, and business functions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA Leads, Test Engineers, Automation Engineers, and business testers.
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Business SMEs, and third-party suppliers to ensure end-to-end quality.
  • Establish traceability across business requirements, testing artefacts, defects, and release deliverables.
  • Review and approve test strategies, test plans, execution reports, and quality metrics.
  • Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, and quality improvements throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Oversee defect triage and cross-product dependency management while ensuring timely resolution.
  • Champion automation best practices and define enterprise automation roadmaps where appropriate.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on programme quality, risks, readiness, and testing progress.
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies, governance processes, and engineering standards across the programme.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with significant experience in enterprise-scale testing programmes.
  • Proven experience as a Test Architect, QA Architect, Principal Test Lead, or Enterprise Test Manager.
  • Extensive experience defining enterprise testing strategies rather than solely executing tests.
  • Deep expertise in:

    • Test Governance
    • Defect Management
  • Strong experience architecting testing solutions across multiple integrated enterprise applications.
  • Experience working with:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Databricks
    • Validis
    • Blades
    • MindBridge (or comparable SaaS platforms)
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, enterprise integrations, APIs, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
  • Experience designing enterprise test environments, automation strategies, and quality engineering frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing quality governance, release readiness, and supplier acceptance processes.
  • Ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders across large transformation programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, iterative delivery methodologies, and enterprise software development lifecycles.
  • Experience managing multiple parallel workstreams across globally distributed teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to proactively identify delivery risks and provide strategic solutions throughout the programme lifecycle.

Nice to Have
  • Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Audit, Accounting, or Risk Management domains.
  • Experience implementing enterprise SaaS platforms and cloud data ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and quality engineering governance models.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, enterprise test management tools, and CI/CD quality gates.
  • ISTQB Advanced, Test Manager, Test Automation Engineer, or equivalent certifications.
