Oracle Apex Practice Lead - Morning /Afternoon Shift

Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Oracle APEX Practice Lead to lead and manage the Oracle APEX track within our technology team. This role involves end-to-end ownership of APEX-based development projects, team leadership, client interaction, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality applications. The ideal candidate brings both deep technical expertise and the ability to lead and mentor a team. 
 

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of Oracle APEX applications and solutions. 
• Ensure adherence to best practices in APEX development, performance, and security. 
• Review code and provide technical guidance to ensure quality and efficiency. 
• Coordinate with database teams for PL/SQL optimization and schema design. 
• Act as the primary point of contact for the Oracle APEX track. 
• Manage a team of APEX developers across multiple projects. 
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback to team members. 
• Allocate resources, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones. 
• Engage with project managers, business analysts, and clients to gather and validate requirements. 
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and application functionality. 
• Plan and track project schedules, risks, and deliverables within the APEX track. 
• ​​​​​​​Collaborate with QA, DevOps, UI/UX, and integration teams for seamless delivery. 
• Ensure alignment with organizational and client governance frameworks. 
• Drive adherence to coding standards, documentation practices, and change control procedures. 
• ​​​​​​​Participate in internal and external audits related to APEX projects. 
• Stay updated with the latest Oracle APEX features and industry trends. 
• Recommend tools, frameworks, and process enhancements to improve productivity and application quality. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• 10 years + of experience in Oracle APEX development, with at least 2 years in a lead or track lead role. 
• Proficient in Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. 
• Experience with RESTful APIs and Oracle Web Services. 
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and Oracle database architecture. 
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. 
• ​​​​​​​Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
