Role
10Pearls is seeking a Data Engineer / Software Engineer (.NET) to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who can effectively contribute across both data engineering and application development domains. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing data platforms, developing scalable APIs, building application integrations, and delivering high-quality data-driven solutions.

This is not a traditional software engineering position; a strong data engineering foundation is equally important. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with modern cloud data platforms, advanced SQL development, data modeling, and full-stack application development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting, analytics, and operational workloads.
• Design and implement transactional and dimensional data models.
• Monitor and improve database and query performance through tuning and optimization techniques.
• Build, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using C#/.NET.
• Develop and support front-end applications using Angular.
• Integrate applications with data platforms and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and data architecture.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and scalability across systems.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile development activities.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and solution delivery.

Requirements

Data Engineering

• Strong expertise in Advanced SQL and database development.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of Data Modeling (Transactional & Dimensional).
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong knowledge of Query Performance Tuning and optimization.
• Experience with at least one modern cloud data platform such as:
  • Databricks
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Amazon Redshift
  • Google BigQuery
  • Snowflake

Software Engineering

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering and data engineering roles.
• Strong development experience with C# / .NET.
• Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and integrations.
• Experience with Angular.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and software engineering best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with dbt.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Experience working with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms to enhance development and data engineering workflows.
