Role
Looking for an Android Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of experience in Android development with a strong grasp of Kotlin, Jetpack compose, UI/UX principles, and mobile app architecture.
Responsibilities
Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality UI code using Compose.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Agrees to the technical architecture and ensures that the architectural integrity is maintained
Ensures adherence to standards and best practices (e.g. source code control, code reviews etc.)
Guide and participate in recruiting best technical talent for the team
Mentors the other technical staff, assists them where needed and leads the effort in resolving technical challenges
Co-ordinates the team’s day-to-day technical activities
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and tools in Android development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 5–7 years of Android development experience.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin with a deep understanding of Android SDK.
Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and/or XML-based UI development, ensuring responsive and adaptive user interfaces.
Familiarity with Android architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture.
Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and JSON.
Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles.
Skilled in writing unit tests and UI tests using frameworks like JUnit, Espresso, and Mockito for robust app quality.
Solid understanding of mobile security best practices, app lifecycle, memory management, and performance optimization techniques.
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, Firebase, Crashlytics, and analytics tools for monitoring and improving app performance.
Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with Git version control.
Skilled in generating signed APKs or AABs (Android App Bundles) and troubleshooting Play Store release issues such as build size, permissions, and publishing errors.
Experience using internal testing tracks and staged rollouts for safe and incremental release strategies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with teams and end-users.
