Role

We are looking for a meticulous and highly organized Account Executive – Accounts Payable to join our finance team. The role involves end-to-end management of the accounts payable cycle including invoice validation, payment processing, accrual handling, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have strong coordination skills to work with internal departments and external banking partners, and be capable of handling company expense analysis and monthly closing tasks with accuracy and efficiency. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal departments to collect, verify, and process vendor invoices. 
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or disputes related to invoices in a timely manner. 
  • Ensure all invoices are validated for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and compliance with company policies before processing. 
  • Record and monitor invoice accruals, ensuring accurate reflection of liabilities in financial records. 
  • Execute the bank payment process, including preparation of payment proposals, validation, and disbursement. 
  • Maintain regular coordination with banks for payment processing, issue resolution, and confirmations. 
  • Ensure payments are made within agreed payment terms to maintain positive supplier relationships and avoid penalties. Maintain and update the Accounts Payable Aging Report, ensuring it accurately reflects outstanding payables and payment schedules. 
  • Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities by preparing reconciliations, supporting schedules, and reports. 
  • Monitor, track, and analyse company operating expenses to ensure alignment with budgets and policy compliance. 
Requirements
  • Minimum MBA/ACCA/ICMA/CA-Part Qualified
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent communication & social skills
  • Strong attention to detail
