Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AI Governance SME to design and embed AI governance that enables our clients to adopt AI safely, responsibly, and at scale. This is a client-facing role that spans the full governance lifecycle, from enacting drafted frameworks as published, self-serve guardrails placed where teams actually work, through leading the thinking on the AI governance control plane programme, to running the review path for novel and high-risk AI initiatives jointly with client risk and security leaders.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in designing AI Governance Frameworks, implementing AI Governance Control planes, plus working with AIOps to enact these in production. They should also have AI security and evaluation skills, plus understand regulatory compliance for AI (etc.).

The candidate brings deep expertise in AI governance frameworks and controls, AI security and evaluation, regulatory compliance (ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, GDPR, EU AI Act), and data governance, combined with the consulting skills to facilitate workshops, influence stakeholders at all levels, and turn policy into guardrails that engineers and citizen developers want to use. This is a unique opportunity to join a global team of over 1,300 product and engineering professionals and play a leading role in growing our AI practices. This is a unique opportunity to join a global team of over 1,300 product and engineering professionals and play a leading role in growing our AI practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Enact the framework drafted by Risk & CISO as published, self-serve guardrails and patterns, placed where makers actually work. Communicate and evangelize AI Governance policy across the client workforce.
  2. Support engineers in executing the risk ladder: score each use case once (reversibility, real-world impact, regulatory exposure, auditability) so risk tier decides architecture, testing depth, oversight level and operational monitoring intensity.
  3. Lead the thinking on the control plane programme: define what good looks like, shape requirements across the IT-led and citizen-led estates, steer the buy/build/extend evaluation and selection, set the policies to enforce first, and remain the design authority through delivery and hand-off into operations.
  4. Work with engineering and platform teams to implement governance controls, monitoring, and policy enforcement mechanisms across AI systems.
  5. Run the single review path for novel or high-risk work (new data sources, client data, autonomous agents) jointly with Risk & CISO. Every approval becomes a reusable pattern. Maintain guardrails, patterns, and best-practice libraries.
  6. Keep the risk register (models and agents in use) and the firm-wide AI use case register current.
  7. Work with the client’s existing risk and compliance teams to operationalize AI Governance policies and processes.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  1. Proven experience designing and implementing AI Governance Frameworks across enterprise environments.
  2. Hands-on experience deploying or operating AI Governance Control Planes, including governance enforcement, monitoring, and audit capabilities.
  3. Experience working with AIOps, platform engineering, or operational teams to implement governance controls and policies in production AI environments.
  4. Strong expertise in AI security and evaluation, including prompt injection, jailbreaks, tool misuse, red teaming, and assurance of AI systems.
  5. Familiarity with AI regulatory frameworks and standards including ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, GDPR, and the EU AI Act.
  6. Technology selection and governance tooling experience, including policy-as-code, automation, and governance enforcement mechanisms.
  7. Experience embedding governance in complex enterprise environments alongside both engineering teams and citizen developers.
  8. Strong consulting, facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
